Video Lockups

I am having a lock up issue with Hardware 3d acceleration. Anytime the machine tries to use 3D acceleration it locks the whole thing up. Any Ideas? I have tried both an ATI (OEM) Radeon 8500, and 2 different GeForce cards (GF 2 400 MX & GF 4 MX 440) and get the same lock ups with all 3 cards. I have tried several driver sets with each card. This is a newly built machine with a fresh install of XP Pro. The only old hardware in it is the CD, CD R/W, and HDD. Below are the system specs.

ABIT KG7 Mainboard (latest bios) AMD 761 Chipset
Duron 1.1 GHz
256 Mb DDR Ram
Sound Blaster Audigy Gamer
Linksys LNE100TX

Sapphire built ATI Radeon 8500
Or
ABIT Siluro T400 GeForce 2 400 MX
Or
PNY Verto GF 4 MX 440

Try pulling the nic out...?

Possibly the AGP port is bad...?

What type of symptoms would a bad AGP slot show? as I was playing tonight pulling out the NIC and moving the cards to different slots the machine started to randomly reboot with the GF 4 in. There do not appear to be any heat issues and this card has always worked well in my other machine.

Which OS? If 2k have you tried turning the computer to a standard pc? It could be an IRQ conflict.
