I recently upgraded my systems video card from a GF2 GTS-V to a Radeon 7500. Everything seems to run fine except that after I'm done playing certain games (Max Payne and Jedi Knight II, in particular), I choose "exit" on the game and then the screen scrambles and locks up. In some cases, the screen is the only thing that scrambles, but in other cases it seems the entire system locks up and I have to restart. Wondering if its perhaps the motherboard...ECS K7S5A. Any ideas as to whats going on and how to fix it?

I have frequent lockups too with my R7500 when playing MOHAA multiplier. The SP works fine. My previous video (original Radeon) was working fine, and the R7500 I have is a brand new, replacement unit I ve got from ATI.... In my case however it may be the temerature issue (often when I play I have like 50 degrees of C).

Did you flush out the old NVidia drivers before the R7500 install. If not, do so.
Down load regcleaner from rage3d.com, or there is a similar NVidia programme,
can't think of its name.

Then install latest supported drivers from ATI site. Yes, I said supported, not beta.
