Yeah I suppose you're right... it just looked like a really bizarre transition, which at first made me think it was an advanced virtual training program, coupled together with the pilots' apathy with the strike and the music in the background. Though I guess that's silly.

Yeah it must've been higher than the camera leads on, it took an awful long time for the bomb to reach ground.

And that's another thing! Why's the reception on these videos always gray and crappy? We can spend billions on bettering our military equipment and place spy cameras in the heads of needles but we can't spend 24 bucks on a freakin' cheapo webcam to put on a huge as jet that could get better images, with color!

• As some of you may know I live right next to Whiteman AFB, home of the B2, in Missouri. A friend of mine is hosting this video but it may not be up for long as he has limited bandwidth, so don't stream it, do the "right click, save as..." instead.
  
  This is an F16 doing CAS during the recent fighting in Fallujah. As you know we have been bombing insurgent "safe houses" with some sucess recently. This F16 was on such a mission, to hit a house with an LGB, when 30+ insurgents left the building en masse to hurry to a nearby engagement with US Marines which had been going on for hours. The pilot communicates with an FAC either in the air or on the ground, and changes the flight path of the bomb while it is in the air. You can clearly see the "L" flashing in the MFD, and "TGP" is selected.
  
  I'm assuming that the bomb itself is probably a 500 pounder, as Mk84s would be overkill in an urban setting where the ROE calls for minimal "collateral damage".
  
  I don't know how long the video will be up, but, regardless of your opinions about the war in Iraq, its a good example of what the real thing looks like.

show me a web cam that gives good resolution at night from 15,000ft @ 500mph

Here's the story from a marine friend of mine currently deployed in Iraq.

WOW. That video made it to the internet already! I remember that day. it was a good day. Very cost effective. That is a mosque they are trying to run to after they all opened fire on some Marines. They tried the fire on Marines quick everyone run to the mosque...hurry hurry. Two problems with their plan.

1. Mosque gate was locked.
2. Fly boys caught them in the open bunched up.

Sucks to be them.
