Came up to my desktop (hardware in sig) last week and the monitor wouldn't get a signal. I hit the power switch, rebooted, and still nothing. It's hooked up via a DVI cable. I pulled out a new VGA cable, used a DVI-2-VGA adapter and plugged it into another port on my monitor, and still nothing.
Then I shut down the PC, and installed a (working at the time) 3450, just to test with. Same thing - no signal to the monitor using either the DVI cable, or the VGA cable.
I guess my next guess is to find another monitor. Maybe the wife can bring one home from work. My Dell monitor turns on fine and you can see the self-test scrolling around the monitor, but again, no signal from the PC.
Any other ideas? Is it possible that the PCI-e slot can just go bad?
Thanks!
Aaron
