Video is real slow now

Hi, I just got a Soyo KT600 motherboard. My video is much slower now. I test the frame rates and they are only half of what they were on the other board. The other board only supported AGP 4x too. This one supports AGP 8x. Is there anything I should check into?

make sure to download/reinstall drivers for both the mobo and vid card.

Ok, did that. Still slow. Everything else is the same as far as processor and memory. Anything else to try?
