Video Input Quality

Good Day,

I'm thinking about an MSI Ti4400 128DDR video card. I heard this card has video IN capabilities, and I would like to know if any of you had any experience with it.

[1] Is the quality of the video in capture any good? From a point of quality?

[2] How many space do I need for ... say 60 mins of good quality video capture?

[3] What storage extensions are available nowadays? What about their quality? And disk space usage? (like mpeg, asf, etc...) I'm newbie at this area of capture-and-storage of video ... 🙂

As far as I know nvidia still design around old Brooktree or Conexant parts which provides an ok capture image. This means you should expect about 10% frame drop rate if you are trying to capture something at say 720x480 regardless of CPU speed.
You may want to consider a FireWire card (AIW 8500DV) or if from an analog source Matrox.

I am very new at this. I bought ATI AIW7500 64 ddr card and it has alot of features and types of capture abilities.
I have no regrets on this card because I paid $140.00 ar. Or I would went for the 8500/ 128 ddr(prob $300)
