High capacity shottys (AK magazine style) don't have this problem. You could even use birdshot (non-lethal) for greater spread and fear factor. Hot lead has this amazing ability to make people piss their pants and run. I bet the first group that gets stung by the birdshot run like little bitches. Of course you'd risk going to prison for awhile but at least you're still alive and not brain damaged from getting knocked out. I would recommend keeping it in the trunk legally if you can.
