I used to play video games, but now I find them pretty boring (except for Civ 3 :D) and I haven't played one other than NCAA on the Xbox in about a year or two.

I'm just not as into them as I used to be. I still enjoy playing but just do not have the time to engulf myself into games. I like FPS and RTS

1. Yes
2. Yes, but minimal, if pacman effected us as kids we'd all be running around in a darkened room munching on candy and lisening to repetative music.
3. FPS's mostly, some RPG's, and cheezy internet games (I.E. Insaniquarium, Zuma, etc.)

1. Yes.
2. Well it doesn't really have an effect to the point where EVERY kid would go around imitating GTA, or PacMan (LOL), but it has somewhat of an addictive effect. I know I got addicted to BF1942, got in a clan, etc...
3. FPS

1.Do you play Video games? Yes. On average at least 1 hour/day, often more.
2.Do you think it effect on players? Why? um.... I would have to say yes only because if for example I'm playing an RPG, I will tend to think about it while I'm at work... similarly with a shooter such as COD or HL2, if I'm stuck in the single player mission somewhere I might think about how to get around it or things I have never tried (?)... so I guess it just takes up time - even mentally when I'm not playing the game. Insofar as negative effects (violence in video games argument) - I don't think that carries too much weight anymore IMHO. If someone is adversely affected by playing a video game, they aren't mentally stable enough to be playing. In other words, if you go out in the real world and start pulling some Grand Theft Auto sh!t, you have issues aside from the game.
3.what kind of games you play? (racing/fighting..) FPS & RPG almost exclusively

1. yes
2. Aside from possibly being addicting (there's a reason they call it EverCrack :D )? not really.
3. RPGs mostly - stuff like old Square titles (FF, Chrono Cross / Trigger), BOF, etc. Earthbound for NES was pretty good too. I liked stuff like Zelda and Metroid, as well. My reflexes aren't fast enough to play FPSs; any time I try I end up serving primarily as target practice :)

1. yes
2. i don't really know how to answer this. It's like asking if going to the movies, or playing football affects people. It's just another form of entertainment.
3. FPS's, and the occasional RTS, Flight Sim, Racing

1.Do you play Video games?
Yes

2.Do you think it effect[sic] on players? Why?
Yes, I think that in some cases you can use a video game to plan something out or to prepare yourself for a situation. I also think you can have negative side effects such as antisocial behavior or anger issues that stem from gaming. This is based just on my 10 or so years gaming experience of watching people before, during, and after games, as well as myself.

3.what kind of games you play? (racing/fighting..)
Pretty much everything; RPG, sports, racing, FPS, fighting

Edit: I am from the United States.

1. Of course
2. Yes. You can become more adept at visual recognition and quicken your reflexes, but it will not make you more violent any more than having a knife in your hand makes you a killer.
3. FPS, RTS
