The violent part begs the question: If tobacco advertising makes kids smoke, why doesn't violent video games and movies make kids violent?]

For some reason, the very same people who blame tobacco ads for kids smoking refuse to apply that to violent or sexual content in media. The ultimate in hypocrisy in my opinion.

Personally? I think some kids with weak parental infulence CAN be influenced by media, be it violent games and movies, or tobacco ads. But that is because of bad parenting, not the fault of the media producers.
