I'm sure I'm not the only one around here with the significant other who can't stand the all the time us gamers spend playing on our computers and console. With all the buzz this week with Gear of War, PS3, Nintendo and what not, I'm sure it has been even harder for us gamers to stop blabbing about video games to our girlfriends and wives!
Here's my situation; after a lot of bribes and sexual blackmail, I've convinced my girlfriend to sit and spend some time playing video games with me. Now the question is, where do I begin? FPS shooters are out of the question as she is not into killing and extremely violent games (read: no GoW!). I was thinking of installing some old school adventure games that we could play together so I went to grab my copy of Tex Murphy Overseer but it doesn't want to work on Windows XP. I was also thinking some of those old school Lucas Arts adventure games might be a good idea. They were fun, easy to play, and freaking hilarious (Day of the Tentacle!). I was wondering if people in similiar positions have converted non-gamers into gamers. What's the one gateway drug you have used to get them hooked? I have PC, Xbox, 360 and could obviously pick up emulators for even more old school things.
