My 16-yr-old recently got his permit. I notice that driving video games really do affect his driving. He's pretty intense about real car driving, so he doesn't mind the ban on driving games.

Any other games that I should ban for a while, driving-wise? And are there any games that might help with driving skillz?

So hes plays need for speed for an hour then takes the station wagon out and drives like a maniac?

Sounds like he needs help separating video games from reality.

What the hell kind of thread is this?
Driving games never affected my real life driving.

Better ban all FPS' with vehicles in case he decides to get a gun and firing it while driving, or mount a gun to his car so he can fire it.
And RTS games too, for the same reason, some of them have tanks/APC's etc and he might get crazy ideas.
GTA is an obvious one, unless that one was banned under "Driving games".
And anything with the real world in it, RTS or otherwise, like RISK style games, in case he decided to drive an army to another country and try and take it over.
