I have another post about getting a signal out to a man cave 200 feet but I need good products in the main house as well for this project. What would be good or best products to support streaming gaming via WIFI and Ethernet in my home? Router, extenders, repeaters, etc.

EDIT: I was also wondering if a switch (like this one http://www.amazon.com/Linksys-SE2800-8-Port-Gigabit-Ethernet/dp/B004TLIVBG/ref=dp_ob_title_ce) will give me the ability to see the computers and printers on that switch? So, if I have a comp and a printer and my PS3/PS4 on the same switch box, can my main computer see all those items on the network and use them much like a router does?

How large is the house and what is the layout?

Do you have any data drops in the house, or relying on wireless?

Simple answer: Yes

A SOHO (small office/home office) router is really a combination device. It has a built in switch, routing abilities, and typically wireless AP built in as well.

The device you're looking at is a switch, and it will definitely add LAN ports to your network, and devices on that network will be able to see each other.

It is a 1400 square foot house; all one story. Thin sheet rock walls are my only obstruction. The man cave is 200 feet away in the garage. Two windows in there facing the house. I bought the Asus u68 this morning from Amazon case that seems to have the best features. I am mostly concerned about getting the pc video in the house. I currently have an intel centreno wifi on the MS I Mpower motherboard so I will need to upgrade that or go ethernet from house to man cave.
