Video game books

AN odd question...mostly it would be lore books or the like. The Book of Cain from Diablo is one such book I have that is pretty good. There are some books based on the Halo universe that aren't bad as well. I don't know if the book came before the game but I have also read Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six and it was good too.
 
When I left home my mom threw out all my magazines. The first 53 issues of Nintendo Power, and all the NES and SNES strategy guides they ever published. That Super Mario book was awesome. I miss it still.
