Um... Welcome to 1984 and the Maglev train.

Superconductors are currently infeasible for really widespread usage due to the extremely low temperatures required to create them. Although I believe some Maglev trains do use superconductive magnets cooled by liquid nitrogen. Superconductors are also extremely useful in the field of electronics, too, since by definition they have 0 electrical resistance.

I mean I can see it being used for a few simple things but I bet someone'll produce some kinda weapon out of it.
