Is there a 256bit card with passive cooling that will fit in a ShuttleSNG42? I don't want the 9800 pro ultimate because I've read it has issues with heat and artifacts. What's the next best thing, or third best thing? The must here is the passive cooling coupled with best performance for gaming.

**edit, ok, passive cooling is out.. what's the quietest/coolest 9800pro, tell me it's the sapphire

 
You're going to have to cut a cooling vs performance compromise here. Either a passive R9600, or an active R9800.

Why the insistance on passive cooling? It's not like Shuttles are quiet to begin with.

Well there's the 9700 pro ultimate or buy a card and mod it. Aside from that you'd probably have to go down to the 9600, which I'd highly doubt you want to do.

You think I couldn't hear a 9800pro over my box? This is my first shuttle box, my rma'd second box arrives tomorrow. First one's psu crapped out, I'd just plug in the power cord and hear a whine; that's with the power off.
