Video Flicker/Flashing problem..PLZ HELP!

Just installed the Elsa Erazor X2 video card and the Turtle Beach Santa Cruz sound card to my system. Since then i have had video problems with any applications that use Direct3D mode. Whenever i run games like Diablo 2 and Motocross Mania (just to name two) i get flashing and flickering polygons/lines all over the screen. I have the latest drivers for the sound card, the video card, and i flashed the BIOS to the latest version. I also just installed the Klipsch 400 speakers also if people think that might make a difference, which i doubt. Any have some ideas?

The 200W powersupply very well could be your problem. What kind of mobo/processor do you have? Also you flashed your bios on the mobo or the graphics card? As far as the drivers go, are they beta? do you have the version # handy? nVidia 6.47 worked great for me for a while, now I'm using 7.17, but I've heard other people have had problems with the 7.17s.

Well, i had asked on here before i bought the video card and people said that a 200W PS wouldn't be a problem. Anyway, i have Dell P3-500 with the 440BX AGP Chipset. Both the video card and the mobo have been flashed to the latest versions and none are beta as fas as i remember. The drivers for the Erazor X2 are version# 4.12.01.0631. They seemed to be the latest ones from teh Nvidia site (Detonator 3). Where did you get the 6.47's?

The reason I said the 200W ps might be the problem is because I had problems with Unrealtournament locking up with a 235w PS. Note the AMD processors and mobos do draw more power from the PS. I'm not sure how much more. I usually use the drivers from nvida, rather than the ones from the card manufacturer. I got the 6.47 betas atReactor Critical. I would also try the 6.31s from nvidia.

Hmmmmm... what is the refresh rate at?

You might recheck the drivers installed.

Can you increase the voltage in bios to above 3.3?

Just some thoughts.

At the Nvidia site the only drivers they seem to have available are the Detonator 3 drivers i.e. the 4.12 version drivers i am using. I can't find any 6.x or 7.x drivers there. I will try the 6.47 drivers and see if that works. Also, how do i check my current refresh rate? I couldn't find it in display properties. Thanks again.

Yes the 6.31 drivers are the ones i was using (4.12.01.0631), i was looking at the 4.12 instead of the 0631. But i still couldn't find the 6.34, 6.35, 6.47, 6.49, and 7.17 drivers at Reactor Critical on the Nvidia site. Anyway, i upgraded to the 6.47 drivers but it didn't fix the problem. This all seemed to start when i installed my Santa Cruz. Could there be any correlation between a Sound Card and flickering/flashing lines in a D3D game?

Well turns out it's only in some games. I download Unreal Tournament and have no problems running that with the same resolution and color depth. However, it still doesn't work in Diablo 2 and some other games, i still get flickering/flashing. Anyone got any other ideas? Sounds like it is most likely a software problem now not hardware.

I just read at HERC SIGHT,they say to increase you I/O voltage to anything higher than 3.3v but do not exceed 3.5v, anything in between to increase stability for flickering.
Got this from their Q and A section.

Hmm, i went into the BIOS and couldn't find anywhere to raise the I/O voltage. Is there any other way to do it? Also, i forget to mention that on startup the Win98 Logo never comes up. No errors, but you never see it.
