I have been starting into video editing and making my own videos utilizing Windows Movie Maker 2. I take clips of anime and set them to music
I also am making subtitles for the music. (Music is mostly in Japanese so I am making Japanese and English Subtitles). Through my endeavors I have made some great videos but I have also ran into many problems.
1. Windows Movie maker will only export as a .wmv file to my hard drive. I need avi. Is there a program that can convert it. Read problem number 2 first before giving an application just in case there is a better one.
2. I used Sub Creator 1.2.0.117 to make subtitles. For my files I have my movie calles Inuyasha Music Video. For my subtitle I have Inuyasha Music Video Subtitle. I save the subtitle in the .ssa format (SubStationAlpha). My problem is how do you insert the Subtitle into the movie so that when playing it in a DVD player you can hit the subtitle button to bring the subtitles up. If I have to my program can make the subtitles in the following formats: .ssa, .srt, .txt (Simple Time Format), and Frame Format.
3. How do I insert multiple subtitles. Say I push the subtitle button once on the DVD player and English subtitles appear. I press it again and the Japanese subtitles appear.
4. LAst problem. Is there a program so I can rip my Chobits DVD into an AVI format? Don't worry about copy protection, I already hacked that. Don't worry, I ain't planning on distributing across the net. I just want to make a video with it, but windows movie maker can't read .mp4 (I converted them to .mp4 with Nero Recode) or .vob files.
Well hopefully somebody can help me
. I have Sub Creator, Nero, and Windows Movie Maker at my disposal right now. But since I have DSL, I'll download just about any free, spyware free file to get the job done
. Thx
