Just got a Drone that I'll be shooting 4k 30fps video. I just need a good decent program to do basic things to the videos, cut and merge and organize and maybe add some music. Sometimes maybe slow it down to 24FPS via the software and some other basic things.

Doesn't have to be free, but Adobe Premiere Pro is overkill.

any suggestions?

I have Lightroom and Photoshop for photos already as I am a semi pro photographer.

Avidemux is free and good for simple things, it also has an plugins system.
Davinci resolve has a free version but might be the same overkill as adobe.
Learning mmpeg is hard because it's a command prompt exe, but if you do you will be able to do anything you want with it, also most "free" video editors are just frontends for mmpeg.

Davinci looks good. I'm going to try that first. I read the interface is sensible

Sometimes Humble has software bundles that contain editing software so you may visit them weekly to keep an eye out.

If you search for video editor in windows 10 the photos app is supposed to have basic video editing features.

DaVinci Resolve basic is free. the Studio version is powerful n totally worth it too once you are ready. i use it to edit wedding videos and off course drones...

Been using this for months, it is so easy to use and is free, they only want you to register to get your free key:
