Video Editing Software. Need to do multiple vids as split screen

I'm trying to record some split screen vids for music. I'll basically be filming each part separately, dumping them all into one project, adding each as a new video track. Then I'll seperate them into their own space on the canvas.

I have Pinnacle Studio, but it doesn't really work well for multiple clips at the same time. The most I can get in before it shoots craps is 2, maybe 3, and thats hacking it. It doesn't actually support multiple video tracks.

Ideas?

Check out Avid Studio. You get the upgrade price from your Pinnacle Studio suite. It came out of NextGen Avid Liquid and supports multiple timelines like all the other pro packages and may import your projects.
