Got the Dave Chapelle DVD's for Xmas. watching them on my PC totally blows, neither season have chapter selection, and season 2 I can't even skip around in PowerDVD to watch different chapters. I typically use Gordian Knot to do my dvd to divx, but I don't really want to do a DVD-AVI back to DVD thing. Right now I'm using DVD Decrypter to rip the dvd, then I have to use dvd2avi to convert the video to avi, then TMPGENC to get it back to mpeg2 format. This is slow and I don't have the HD space to save the avi uncompressed. All the converting back and forth is degrading the video quality.

Is this method I'm using even a decent way? all I wanna do is pull all the Chapelle DVD's and reauthor them with a scene selection menu.

DVDAuthor would allow you to insert chapters. You could then make a menu for those chapters.

are you watching it on the PC? (I am) it doesn't have a chapter select, I can select episodes, but when I want to find a certain scene, it's a pain in the arse. Each show has what 3-4 skits? most every other DVD I buy has a chapter selection menu, it wouldn't have been hard for Comedy Central to include one. As for season 2, I can't even skip around inside an episode, I just have to use ff/rw to find sh!t. it's annoying.

thanks MustISO for the suggestion, I'll look into it right now :)
