Ok.. but that converts it to a m1v... how would I convert it to an mpeg so I can use it in Vegas 5?

That's real helpful.
download TMPGenc
Also TMPGenc Faq.- you'll find answers in there.
Q:I have separate m1v file and mp2 file. Can I put them into a MPEG file?
A: Go to "file menu" > "MPEG tool" to merge m1v file and mp2 file.

This is just a guess, but I think its right - you can just rename the m1v extension to mpg. My understanding is that an m1v file is an mpg, just without any audio information.

Post back here if it works.
