Hey guys,

So I am very new to vided editing and I have just finished doing some movies in Premiere Pro 1.5. It's time to export it and I don't know which codec to use to encode the file so that it is small. If anyone has a link that explains codecs well that would be AMAZING or just a few tips. That would be great. Thanks in advance

you want the divx or xvid codecs... which makes them .avi ... divx 6.1 codec (divx create bundle) if you can grab it... it's supposed to be much faster these days.

But of course you can't play these in standard dvd players... depends on what you want to do with them afterward.

i tried using the divx 6.1 codec and the video wouldn't work. i would export it compressing it w/ that and the first title would work, and then it would just smear and no go after that =-\
