Well, I guess cats aren't complete assholes after all. Looks like the attack on the kid was completely unprovoked. Whoever owns the dog will be in some big trouble.

Can't tell if pitbull mix or just a mutt.

I can't watch the video, but the short clip I saw during lunch on the TV it looked like a Shar Pei. Didn't get a great look though. I could be bias, due to someone in my neighborhood having one that was a mean little wise and beautiful woman when I was growing up. He attempted to bite quite a few people. Luckily, my Chow wasn't having it.

Doesn't look like it has enough skin folds to be a Shar Pei, unless it's super young.

Why did she get up and leave her son after the attack?

looks like the dog was coming back around the front of the suv for round 2. even the cat circled back to the kid to intercept. mom was probably trying to head off the dog.

kitty can have some of my cheesy poofs any day. [/cartman]

I think that is a pitbull.

Cats are crazy like that. I had a white maine my excellent compatriot about 20 pounds when I was a small kid(3-4 years of age). A German Shepard came into our yard one afternoon while I was playing. He wasnt doing anything other than sniffing the tree and out comes the cat at full speed. Jumped on the dogs face and started clawing him up something fierce. The dog ran all the way down the street with the cat chasing him. Our cat comes strolling back about 10 mins later with blood on his paws. We never saw that dog again.

As much as I absolutely hate cats, and almost unconditionally love dogs... I hope that cat did some good damage to that dog.

And I hope a human goes further and puts the dog down.

And IF that dog has an owner, hopefully someone damages him. I see no collar though; that's not a guarantee, but it could be a stray/feral. Looks healthy, so I doubt feral.

Can't really get a great look at the dog for breed ID, but it really could be a mix of any number of breeds. Could be Pit/Rhodesian mix, Lab/Pit, Lab/a billion other, Rhodesian Ridgeback and a billion other combinations, etc.

There is no question cats are, pound-for-pound, much tougher and more formidable than any dog. I only wish they used their powers to help humanity more often . . .

That's really a strange dog attack. It wasn't protecting its territory, and actually sought out the aggression.

I'd rate this video net heartwarming tbh, seeing the cat come in was pretty cool.

Not sure of the breed. Looks to be some sort of non-sporting mix. Like a shiba + something.
