Look into Machete.

There's a paid version and a free version (Machete Lite). The free version works only on AVI and WMV files.

Joining videos is easy,as long as they are the same resolution(and fps) you can just drop them into avidemux and save them as a new file, making changes to the container format if you want.
Splitting is a whole other thing which needs quite some knowledge to do it correctly, you can do it with avidemux but you will have to cut on i-frames otherwise you have to recode or you will get a broken file.

For paid programs, these work well:

Boilsoft Video Splitter, Boilsoft Video Joiner.

www.videohelp.com has a bunch of recommendations and reviews. I suggest you start looking there.

You didn't specify what kind of files you're talking about. AVI is very different from MPEG.

Or convert to Mpeg.

My app can start anywhere in a video, play for a preset number of seconds then resume at an earlier point or later with Large text or pictures in between. No cutting or pasting. Just the originals.

When doing "golf swing video" I shut the camcorder off right after the swing.

The "for golf" catalog function sets the playback to switch from normal speed to slow motion at 3 seconds from the end. Then play that segment backward in slow motion to the same point then again.

The above golf video can be up and playing on a large screen in the golf club as they are having their dinner and awards.

Many other features for Video Audio Pictures and Text.

My other thread got closed by closed minded folks here. NO debate etc.

It's all about the registrations. Not pushing tech like this forum should.

Just saying.

You, sir, are a spammer.

Are you sure others aren't reps for the various software products.

Check them out.

Obviously, you haven't paid attention to this community And you haven't been around this place for long enough to see how shills fare in the long run.

Judging from your posting record, you won't get it either.
