My computer keeps crashing and I'm wondering if it's actually the video card that's the problem.
System:
MSI K7T Pro2A
Tbird 1.0 GHz
256 MB PC 133 CL2
Diamond Viper V770 non ultra (TNT2)
Win 2000
I know, the video card sucks, but I'm not in to gaming and it's served me well up to this point so I haven't had an excuse to replace it. When it crashes, the screen freezes and the computer won't respond to Ctrl-Alt-Del. The crashes are more frequent now that I installed a I/O Magic PVR TV tuner card. If the tuner was on (CyberLink PowerVCR) during the crash, the TV audio keeps on playing. I had experienced these crashes before (not nearly as frequent), but it wasn't happening enough to be worth investigating. The video card is hot as hell.
What do you think? Is it the video card that's crashing?
Maybe I finally have a reason/excuse to replace it........
