what's the best video converter ??? (with no or little loss of quality)

i'm considering: Cucusoft, Imtoo or Xilisoft

i'm gonna use it for ripping episodic DVD's to xivd/h.264
and also converting many episodic xvid to mpeg

what do you think guyz ????

Fairuse Wizard, you are gonna lose some quality though, that's what compressing is doing

Handbrake's powerful, but I keep having random errors (mainly "access violation" or something along those lines). It's completely random; sometimes a job will work fine but then running the exact same thing later won't work (and this is with UAC off, XP compatibility enabled, etc.). So I guess YMMV as far as stability. I'd still recommend trying it though.

Handbrake hasn't been updated in quite a while.

Also no software is the best when it comes to loss in quality. The quality of the output file depends on the encoder the software uses.

The softwares you listed are a joke. They don't even have the best encoders available.

There are better free alternatives available. If you looking to stay on the bleeding edge of quality encoding, use x264 CLI encoder.
If CLI encoding is too tough, use a GUI for x264 such as

All FREE and miles better than the ones in OP. You may need to learn about what options do what for quality in x264, or you can use one of the profiles.
