I just downloaded a video and found out that the frame rate is 50 fps. I tried converting its to 25 fps using magic video converter but the video seems distorted and full of lines.Can anyone explain me the steps required in converting the video smoothly to 25 fps

Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated

With AviSynth, SelectEven().

There are probably other issues. Is your video interlaced? Are you getting combing (vertical things that look jagged when they move)?
