Video Confrence software other than netmeeting?

I heard that netmeeting uses crazy ports and stuff so it is hard to get to work from behind a router. DOes anyone know any other software that will do video confrencing on a static port?

Most other videoconferencing apps use H.323 as well. Makes them compatible with each other and NetMeeting. So the short answer (from me) is "no".

However, if you're willing to pay, there are several that should work, such as WebEx. Plus, you can do multi-point A/V with these kind of services.

I believe that CuSeeme has two modes, one is H.323 the other is proprietary and may not use dynamic ports.

Also look at this page:

These two are mentioned to work through firewalls.

This article that said many instant messenger programs include video conferencing, I haven't been able to verify any yet though.
