I have a costumer that wants me to set up video conferencing between two laptops in the next 24hours because of a planed trip.

With msn messenger or what ever. Maybe a web based solution is better idea ?.

Have any of you done this and is there any suggestions or considerations that could help me with this setup.

Thanks

Thanks

Are there any config issues like port forwarding or some other settings that might come up using windows live messenger.

When they use their laptop from a hotel could it be blocked some how.

I heard that the hotels now block VPNs.

I'm not trying to make it harder I'm just trying to be prepared.

Thanks again

MSN/WL Messenger has a very long history of being finicky with NATs. If I remember correctly, if you have a Linksys router, you should just go get a beer and forget about it.

NetMeeting uses the standard H.323. More info here about connecting over firewalls.
