video compositing

hi, i need help trying to composite video. Its for a one minute presentation. Basically, four separate videos were taken without moving the camera, trying to create the effect of having one person moving in four places. HOwever, when I try to composite with Ulead, the video is all faded. What would be the easiest way to composite video? TIA.
