Video codec for real-time capturing ?

Hello,

I'm looking for a video codec that will be able to capture video in real time with like 640x480 res. and about 5GB/hour ...

b/c all codecs that I know of do a minimum of 10gb/hour

With what kind of computer power? What kind of quality/compression are we talking about? What is the source video?
 

NicColt: no, uncompressed takes a whole lot of space



joohang: it's Pentium III 900 ... before converting to divx, it should be very good quality ....
