IMHO it doesn't look that hard if you knew what you were playing. It may be since I've played since I was four, but honestly I think most people could do that (some would need a lot more than others).

So you're basically saying that anyone could play this, if they practiced it? Isn't that true for ANYTHING?

This guy is combining a funk sound with flamenco/classical guitar style strumming and bass guitar slapping/tapping. The second two techniques are not easy things to master, especially at speed.

Blah - he's just playing power chords, any high-school kid can do that :p

I thought I was getting better by learning Dear Prudence. Everytime I think I am getting good someone comes along to show me I am an absolute git-gimp :(

I've seen that, and yes it's very impressive. Don't see too many people playing slap acoustic guitar :p He certainly has an interesting technique.

Tapping is very difficult to do, even on an electric. On an acoustic with relatively higher action, thicker gauge strings, and no amplification, I bet it'd be very difficult to do.

They probably could, but most people wouldn't want to put in the serious hours of practice necessary to be able to learn something like that in less than 1-2 years.
