Video clip losing audio synch when decoding

I have several TV shows on my hard drive in DivX format and want to burn it onto a DVD

I can only fit two episodes on one DVD

I used Nero 7 to burn it on DVD adding the DivX file directly (it seemed to know what to do with it) but when I played the DVD the first episode was OK but near the second half of the second one the audio became so out-of-synch with video (You would see people's lips moving but they werent saying anything or not matching what you heard).

I then tried to instead use TMPEGenc to decode the file into regular video format so then I would hopefully just add it to NEro without Nero having to encode it- just burn it straight away- but TMPEG also results in loss of synchronization.

The original video file though in Divx is perfectly fine all the way through- absolutely no synch problems.

Any other ideas I can try doing?

Have you tried Doom9.org? The guides there probably can help you deal with the audio synch since its a common problem. You may try using VirtualDub to convert as well.

Hmm, that's discouraging as I just learned aboot this feature of 7 in nutha thread. You could try VSO Software or other alternatives listed on videohelp.com although I tried a number of the "easy" solutions and found them mostly to be crap (apart from VSO), while other methods are less practical (transcoding and then authoring and then burning).
