Video... Cherry red headers.

Needs some thermal wrap. Quite of bit of heat is being lost... You lose efficiency, and your engine bay gets kinda steamy.

thermal wrap? the engine would still put out that kind of heat, you would just be stopping it from escaping the headers via the metal and would go via the exhaust....

Seeing as how that has no bay, I don't think it's much of a concern.

Think they built it just to test on a dyno (I assume they're dynoing it in the video)?

It can. Nickel-based superalloys are used for some turbine housings (I believe they can handle over 1000 degrees C constantly).
