Video Cars?

Is it just me, or are video card names sounding more like cars? 6600GT, x800xl, and others with LE, U, SE, XLLEGTX and whatever other names ATI and Nvidia come up with. I used to be simple buying a card, now I feel like I got to goto a dealer to figure out what's what.
