Video cards

Guys, Im pretty sure Im upgrading my video card to a 7900GTX. Only thing im worried about is if my power supply can handle it. I have a 500W allied which seems to be alright in wattage. Though i heard that the card needs 22 amps on the 12v. My psu only seems to put out 20 amps on the 12v. Is this true? do i need a new power supply for the card?

req's are always inflated.. plus you never know unless you try =)

try it first at full load then if it shutsdown then buy an new psu
