Video Cards Supporting Widesceen Monitors??

Hello folks. I currently have a 4:3 ratio monitor but am wanting to jump on the next 21" Samsung widescreen monitor. I remember a while back reading something that said only certain video cards will support 16:9 monitors correctly (so the images aren't stretched). Is this true? If so, I have the Asus EAX850PRO 256Mb GDDR3 PCI Express x16 video card. Will this card support a widescreen monitor in true form? Thanks!

just make sure that if you get one of the REALLY big ones, your card can fully drive it.. The 30" and up need a bit more than just regular single link DVI..

(I think the correct term for what the "Uber big" displays need is dual link DVI, but I could be wrong..)

Yes, you are right. It is a 16:10 screen.

I have another question. I am currently building a PC for my kids using a barebones kit from Asus (Pundit P1-PH1) which sports an integrated Radeon Xpress 300 graphics card via DVI-D. Could I use the widescreens with this graphics chip as well? Thanks for all the input!
