I am upgrading my system. What do I need to consider in a video card for video editing? This will not be a gaming system. Any thoughts for me as I am shopping? Thanks.

I supposed I would like to stay under $100. I am looking for the most value and best performance for displaying video and redrawing the screen when making edits.

Mostly though, I am wondering what guidelines I should use when looking for a card. What should i consider as far as memory, cache, etc?

I will need a DVI and a VGA out and may also use a TV out as well.

Well you aren't going to get crap for under $100.

As for video editing it isn't really dependant on Graphics cards. Just get a decent amount of RAM 1gig minimum for this as well as a fast HDD and nice CPU. 9600XT should do just fine. Now if you were doing CAD or something then we are talking Quadro.
