Video cards for a Dell 5100c

I need to upgrade the video card in my friends 5100c (yeah, he didn't consult me before he dropped the $$$ on that one, and now he wants to play oblivion). It currently has a X600 SE, which won't run oblivion according to him, and i'm looking for a replacement. I'm pretty sure the "c" chassis use Low Profile cards, can anyone confirm that? if that is true, it looks like the 7300GS or the X1300 are the fastest LP cards availible right now. i heard there was an LP X1600 coming out soon, but i don't know when... the 7300 and X1300 are both 4 pipe cards, will oblivion even run on a 4 pipe card? i'm trying to figure out a nice way of telling him he is screwed... anyone have a suggestion?
