I just upgraded my PS to an Antec TP 430Watt. I also did some modding and added a better HSF combo. (AX-7 w/Mechatronics 53 CFM)
My case temps are 29-30C and CPU is about 49-50C. I did all these changes to try and solve the prob with it cutting out.
My video card is an ASUS V7100 32Mb Sdram Geforce 2 MX w/TV out only. I thought..."Ok maybe it's the video card but I checked after
the changes and it still cuts out. I tried another Video card (PCI slot Video card just in case) and it still cuts out of the game.
(AVP Gold and Counter-strike) Everything else runs great except these two things. I had the Aperature on 128Mb since I have
256 MB SDRAM PC100. (Rest of my specs are at the bottom) and tried changing it down to 64, 32 even 16 and same results.
A friend said IT's the MOBO but he says that about everything. If everything else ran like trash I would understand if it was the MOBO,
but everything runs great. Basically AVP Gold loads the game but when there is some serious processing like moving around alot
it cuts out. The Detonator Drivers that are V 28.80 don't even let me load the game map before cutting out. The older 6.31 let me
load the map but cuts out like I said, when there is movement in the game.......
I can run TRIBES 2, Quake 3, or even AVP2 but not Gold or 1.
ANYONE got any clues ??
