I would go with the Radeon X1900XT rather than an XTX, although If your mind is stuck on those 3 cards, I would recommend the XTX. The XT saves you $100+ with only sacrificing like only 2 to 6 FPS in games, which would not be worth spending an Extra $100 for. 1280*1024 is a great resolution to use without sacrificing quality. The minimum resolution I would accept would be 1024*768. 1024*768 still looks good, and a 1900XT would last you about 3 years on 1024*768 providing Direct X 10 doesn't become mainstream really fast, but even then, you could probably make the games run in DX9 mode or something. But resolution wise, 1024*768 is THE MINIMUM. Anything less than that and you'll start to get decreases in image quality.

hell im sure a supped up civic can kick the ****** outta a stock mercedes in a race, but its still a mercedes like deal... its just so respected and ****** to the commoner... just my 2cp
