i bought a TI RADEON X850 XT PLATINUM Video Card - 256MB

all i need to do is put into a agp slot but do i need to plug a cable onto the video card?
 
yeah you need to plug power into the vid card. read the directions carefully dude, you dont want to wreck that card or your mobo.
 
Yes, without the extra power connevtor, your video card will either not boot at all, or operate at a GREATLY reduced performance rate
 
lol, dude read the instructions! there is a power connector that is sold with the vid card. u can use that if you dont have one avail on your PSU.
