Looking to purchase from Newegg a refurbished video card based on the ATI AIW line.
They offer the following cards: This would be for a 1.0ghz PIII file sharing/gaming server with some occasional gaming. Which would you chose or would you go Nvidia for up to $150 price point? I just selected the AIW line for the TV tuner thinking it would be nice to have a TV in the room.

ATI AIW RADEON 9600 Video Card $92.00

A 9800 Pro won't do you much good for gaming if you have a pIII. Personally I'd 9600 or 9600XT to save money.

how is the X600? Is it better than a 9600/XT....last time I was shopping for a video card was back in the 9700 Pro days where I got my Hercules 9700 PRO and have not been keeping up since then.

6600gt used from any of the trading forums. You can get one for around $150-175 used from people upgrading to 6800gt's & such. Just make sure they have a good rep (Heat).
