My video card isnt performing that well, its an ATI 9600xt i got it about a month ago. MY PC is aout 2 years old. I would post ym system specs but idk what to post. If you need them make a small list of what u wanna know and ill use AIDA32 to find them out. The graphics on counter-strike arent that good, the'yre decent but i dont get that good of FPS like it drops to 40-50 anything happens. I cant play day of defeat because i ge a steady 7 fps, everyone else says this is a great card but i just dont see it. could someone help me.

OK, before I would worry about the video card, that CPU is holding you back. You need a new motherboard/CPU, and maybe memory depending on what you have now. What is your budget ?

the bottle neck is the CPU, RAM and MOBO combo ... 9600XT is a capable card but is crippled by the the rig .... WIN XP alone requires @ least 256MB of ram to operate .....4X might be the AGP .... what make is UR PC ?

HP7955 oouch .... sorry :) .... here is what I would recomend CPU , RAM and MOBO.... U can choose another MOBO based on nForce2 chipset as UR buget allows .... a new case with 350W PSU can also be had for $40 to $80

On your budget i would go AXP2500+ + Nforce2 400 + 512MB PC3200 Buffalo, would run you about $275

yes I do know, thanks alot guys. This has been a good learning experience already, plus a very nice change from the techtv.com messege boards. which ive found to be nothing but a flame board to people who are just getting into computers
