Video Card worries

So yeah, I was looking at my newly arrived 8600GT w/Zalman and decided to pop it in my brother's PC because I needed to test it for stability. It ran very well, Bioshock, TF2, COD4, Oblivion, UT3, MOHAA: Airborne, 30-60 fps constant. So yeah, I had a bit of a fun with that. After the testing I went to remove the video card and when my hand was but 1/2 cm to the video card, I felt a little electric discharge from the card (power supply unplugged, powered off) and my motherboard to my hand. I am worried that I accidentally fried my video card.

It's a good practice to press the power on button for a few seconds after power supply is unplugged. This will drain any left over power.
The best thing to do would be to put it back in your bro's system and see if it works.

Good luck!
