I was setting up a network between my two computers, so I had installed a NIC an hour or so before. My case was open and the computer was running fine. I was adjusting various network settings, which caused me to reboot several times. Well, last time I rebooted it hung at verifying DMI pool (I think that's where it hung), so I hit the reset switch. After that it wouldn't POST and it gave me nasty beeps of death (Award bios, beeeeeeep, beep beep, followed by two more beeps that sound like Mac invalid system disk beeps). I have since: removed all cards and memory except video and one stick of ram, removed the cmos battery, cleared the cmos with the jumper...
From what I could find online, beeeeep, beep beep means video problem or motherboard problem. Nothing was very clear, and nothing said anything about the last two beeps that are a different frequency. I didn't even touch the video card or motherboard, and it was working fine before that reset.
What's up? What's up with the extra beeps???
