Video Card with Capture, or Just a Capture Card?

Hey guys,

I have a question for the video capturing experts out there.. would you guys recommend me getting a video card with capture capabilities, like the ATI Radeon VIVO, or a separate capture card? Thanks in advance for any responses.

Well on the + side, the radeon is a good card NOW and the capture that comes with it is pretty good, but the negative part is how long do you think you'd use Radeon 1 technology?

If you're not a big gamer and can see a couple years out of it, go for it, but if you think you'd want to upgrade your video card in 6 months, you'd have to get yet another one with capture or end up buying a separate capture card with it as well. If you bought a sep. card now you can still use it later.
