Before I post this question I do realize that computers and a budget do NOT go well together. :p Which of course is why I NEED your help.

My budget for a ?well? off gaming card is $200. Give or take $30

I have a PCI express mobo and I don?t mind over clocking, hacking firmware?ect The goal is to get the BEST card for 200$

To all that post THANKS!!!!!!

X800 GTO2 and unlock + overclock, which will give you the performance of an X850XT. The price of a Sapphire GTO2 is a bit steep right now, about $220 at Newegg.

But a 7800GT is only $60 more, regardless opf what it can potentially unlock to.

If you can scrounge up the money, 7800GT hands down. Lower than $200? X800GTO. At or near $200, 6800GS. Any questions? :p

If you dont mind modding and OC'ing the card, then I'd get the gto2 if you can find one for around $200 - they unlock 100% and can OC to x850xt speeds or higher. If you dont want to mess with the card, then get a 6800gs - it has good performance straight out of the box and can OC well too, but it's not as fast as a modded gto2.
