Video Card Warping

I did a little searching and couldn't find the answer I was looking for...

I had my case apart tonight and noticed that my GTX 460v2 was warping due to the weight of the card.

I have not had any problems with the card's performance, but this does worry me that it is constantly in a bent position, that it might impact longevity...

What are the solutions for keeping the card perfectly perpendicular to the MB?

Thanks

Some cards have a backplate or stiffener to address this. The backplate is a flat metal plate that covers the whole back of the card as the name implies, the stiffener is a bracket that runs along the top of the card for the length of the board. I also have a card (GTX 570) with aftermarket cooling (Accelero Twin Turbo) which is showing signs of warping but with no ill effect yet. If it dies, it would be a good excuse to go shopping...

I had a card that warped itself right out of its slot. I won't tell you exactly what the ultra high tech solution I used was, but it probably involved a wooden dowel and some tape.
