I am considering selling my Geforce FX 5900Ultra and getting a FX 6800GT. Using it for gaming of course, is it worth the upgrade though? The 6800 Ultra is a bit out of my price range, but a GT would fit my budget. Will I notice any improvements at 1280x1024(native resolution of my LCD monitors), or be able to crank up the AA and AF settings some more without losing performance?
 
You would see a performance difference yes, but its up to you to figure out if the increase is worth however much a 6800GT will cost ya. I would say it would be smarter to wait till next generation cards are out. Unless you get a smokin deal on a 6800GT.
 
u may notice perhaps some iq improvements, but at that res i dont think the gt will help u much over ur existing card for current and i'd guess some future games.
